Compiled lists of subjects, 1789-1825
Scope and Contents
This series contains twelve handwritten lists of questions and subjects performed at Harvard Commencement and Exhibition Days. The folders are arranged alphabetically by type of performance and include: Conferences, Disputations, Dissertations, English Orations, Forensics, Latin Orations, and Orations by candidates for the second degree. The lists generally include Commencements and exhibitions between approximately 1811 and 1825, though there is one list of Forensic and Syllogistic questions that includes questions for 1789 to 1791 and 1808 (UAI 20.790 Box 1, Folder 8). The lists do not include student names.
