Volume containing reports of various committees of the Overseers related to Harvard College governance, dated 1761-1825. Includes a report on the rights granted to the Corporation by the College charter, and limits related to disposal of revenues without consent of the Overseers, and the Corporation’s response to that finding; a report on the state of the College library and museum; and a copy of a report by Jeremy Belknap, Peter Thacher, and John Clarke regarding a student’s expulsion from Harvard, and the Overseers’ powers to commute the sentence.

Processing Information
Due to its fragile condition, this volume was disbound for preservation reasons. It has been divided into two sections: 1761-1819 and 1820-1825. The original binding from circa 1850s was also kept.
