Scope and Contents

This folder contains three exterior and six interior photographs of the Harvard College Observatory. These images show several unidentified telescopes and equipment, including a close-up of an instrument, telescopes housed in domes and rooms, a turning apparatus for adjusting the position of a telescope, and gauges. One image may show a telescope in Harvard's station in Peru. Two images show astronomer Dorrit Hoffleit adjusting a telescope in 1946. All photographs are gelatin silver prints.
