Topics documented include the financial state of the young College, including General Court-ordered contributions from neighboring towns, salaries, and efforts to collect money in England; duties of the Steward; donations, including scientific instruments and books; the resignation of President Leonard Hoar; subscriptions for Old Harvard Hall; and the College Charter of 1697.
