Scope and content
The Treasurer's annual reports provide a picture of the overall financial health and activities of the University. The manuscript annual reports date from 1735 to 1737 and 1760 to 1830. Published annual reports are available from 1824 to the present; the earliest of these reports (1824-1830) were published as part of the President’s annual reports. After 1830, the annual reports of the Treasurer were published separately. Additional records include annual report drafts from 1913 to 1922.
Published reports dating from 1825 to 1995 have been digitized by the Harvard University Archives and are available online: see list below for links. As of 2001, annual reports were published electonically on the website of the Harvard University Financial Administration; the website generally displays reports from the past three fiscal years.
