This subseries contains chiefly images of facilities, equipment, personnel, and environs of the Harvard College Observatory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The purpose of this series was perhaps to demonstrate the activities of the Observatory and the equipment they used to gather data. This series may have been assembled for display at the Pan American Exposition in 1904 in St. Louis.
