Overview
Ella M. Bailey Babson (1867 – 1946) was an elementary and junior high school teacher in Hadley, Rockport and Whately, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of the Westfield Normal School. The collection consists primarily of class notes, assignments, transcripts, and correspondence related to professional development courses Babson took at the Harvard University Summer School and the Massachusetts Department of Education’s Division of University Extension. Her compositions describe classroom instructional practices and strategies. The collection also includes photographs of Babson.
