Contains correspondence and testimonials related to the utility and performance of chronometers made by William Bond & Son, dated 1874-1900. Correspondents include Harvard College Observatory Director Joseph Winlock (1826-1875), Wellesley College Professor of Physics Sarah F. Whiting (1847-1927), Columbia College Professor of Mechanics and Mathematical Physics Robert Simpson Woodward (1849-1924), and the Pennsylvania Railroad Company. There is also an unaddressed letter proposing a wage reduction for Bond & Son employees in light of the firm's financial difficulties.
