Contains correspondence related to the manufacture and sale of clocks and clock parts and chronometers by William Bond & Son, dated from 1808 to 1863. Correspondents include George P. Bond and Richard F. Bond, as well as American naval officer Charles Wilkes (1798-1877). Several letters are written from George P. Bond, while he was traveling in Europe, to his brother Richard F. Bond, regarding financial matters, meetings with fellow astronomers, and news regarding the American Civil War.
