Allman, including dispatches, compositions, notebooks, clippings, and correspondence pertaining to his career starting in Southeast Asia (Laos and Cambodia) in 1968 and continuing in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, Russia, China, Central America, Cuba, England, and the United States.

Scope and Contents: Typed transcripts (with floppy disk of same) and audiotapes of talks by Leslie Morris, Ian MacNiven, Jonathan Williams, and Eliot Weinberger for the symposium "Towards the meaning of James Laughlin" held to commemorate the arrival and completion of cataloging of the New Directions Publishing Corp. collection at the Houghton Library.

Content Description: Includes manuscript and typescript screenplays, drafts, research, proofs, correspondence and reviews of his works, such as Love Story, Doctors, Prizes, Long Live the King, Fairy Tale, Acts of Faith, and more. Materials from his time as a student and lecturer are included, such as yearbooks, class notes, lecture plans, etc. The audio-visual materials capture mostly the Olympic Games concerning the history of boxing, the women's marathon, and basketball.

Content Description: Printed type specimens, digital type specimens, user manuals, and catalogs or libraries of typefaces created for use with computers.

Scope and Contents: Collection of studies, commentary, and organizational documents on social, economic, political, ethical, and religious issues in Bolivia written by Father Gillgannon and other missionaries, mostly in mimeographed copies and print.

Scope and Contents: Various typescript examples of electronic typeface specimens designed by Richard Beatty Designs and 3.5" floppy disks containing the typeface designs.
