.4 linear feet (1 box)Contains correspondence to Dick Clarkson from multiple science fiction fan clubs, both based in the United States and abroad, dating 1951-1953. Also includes a scrapbook with tickets, name-tags, and photographs from the World Science Fiction Convention, 1953, and scrapbook pages and other materials relating to the World Science Fiction Convention, 1952. Further contains a short science fiction composition by Clarkson, "Heavenly Daze," as well as a composition sent to Clarkson in 1954 by an unidentified author with the title "The Letter."
Biographical / Historical
Richard "Dick" W. Clarkson was a 1955 graduate of Harvard College and collector, reader, and author of science fiction, and an active member of science fiction fan clubs. His collection of science fiction was donated upon his death to Harvard University Library.
