155 loose black and white photographs mounted on linen leaves depicting streets, interiors, gardens, landscapes, palaces, and varieties of theatrical curtains, some annotated with names of theaters and artists. With several pages of typescript and manuscript lists which possibly correspond to photographs in the collection.

Biographical / Historical

The New York Studios marketed "scenery of distinction for theatres" by various artists; it was in operation at least from 1913-1934 in New York City.
