Biographical / Historical

Spectator Magazine (1978-2005), was a California-based adult newspaper. Over the years the magazine was staffed by: Max Scherr (founder); Kat Sunlove (publisher and owner); Dara Lynne Dahl (editor); Dave Patrick (editor); Layne Winklebleck (editor and photographer); and Terry Hall (editor).


Collection is minimally processed. Materials are loosely arranged in eight series: Business and Administrative Materials; Big Mac Audiocassettes; Draft Spectator Magazine Issues; Images; Other Publications; Published Spectator Magazine Issues; Research Materials; and Reviews.

Houghton Library's collections represent the scope of human experience from ancient Egypt to twenty-first century Cambridge.
