Biographical / Historical

The Brattle Theatre Company was formed in the fall of 1948 partly by members of the Harvard Veterans' Theatre Workshop. It staged 64 ensemble productions in its four years; the group dissolved in 1952 (and in 1953, the theater became a movie house).

Eleanor M. Mattersdorff was a costume designer for the company.
