Lear family correspondence

Scope and Contents

Consists of 18 signed manuscript letters exchanged between members of the Lear family. Correspondents are as follows:

Edward Lear (1812-1888); Ann Lear (1791-1861), sister; Sarah Lear (1794-1873), sister, married to Charles H. Street; Mary Lear (1796-1861), sister, married to Richard Boswell; Eleanor Lear (1799-1885), sister, married to William Newsom; Frederick Lear (1805-1880), brother; Fanny, possibly Fanny Drewitt Coombe, a family friend.
