Collection is comprised of volumes with correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, accounts, financial statements, clippings, and printed materials. Most volumes are unbound.
The collection spans the 19th and 20th centuries, with the bulk of the material dating to the late 19th century.

Biographical / Historical
Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. was formed in 1789 and started foreign missionary work circa 1833. Between 1826 and 1837, Presbyterian foreign missions were conducted under the umbrella of the Congregational Church's American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions (ABCFM). The Board of Foreign Missions for the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. was established in 1837.
