Includes: autograph manuscript diary by Joshua Atwater of a sea voyage from Sleago [Sligo?] to New England, 9 October 1681 - 9 January 1682, written in long hand and shorthand; A study of shorthand, written in an unidentified hand, 1713; manuscript prayers, undated; and a manuscript letter, signed, by William Phineas Upham to Anson Titus, 1897, deciphering Atwater’s shorthand.
