Biographical / Historical
Ben Jonson (Benjamin Jonson, 1573?-1637) was a Jacobean playwright, poet, and literary critic. He is best known for his satirical plays and is generally regarded as the second most important English dramatist, after William Shakespeare, during the reign of James I.
William Cushing Bamburgh was born to Sarah Cushing Bamburgh in Massachusetts ca. 1868. He was married to Alice I. Bamburgh and they had a number of children, including: Mary E. Bamburgh Procter, Margarete Bamburgh, and William C. Bamburgh, Jr. They lived in New Jersey and Connecticut. He was an author who published a book of poetry and other items and for a time, the advertising manager of the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company.
