Photographs of real sets and of set design drawings and other depictions. The majority are for dramatic or musical theatrical productions, but also include ballet, opera, and film. A few photographs also depict costume designs and members of the cast.

Biographical / Historical

Theatre Arts Magazine (1916-1923), Theatre Arts Monthly (1924- October 1939), and Theatre Arts (November 1939-1964) were classic serial publications containing in-depth coverage of every aspect of the theatre world.
