Includes mostly manuscripts and drafts of books and articles, with related correspondence, legal documents, drawings, and clippings. Also scrapbook, 1876-1877, of Janvier's articles; and notes, 1881-1882. Manuscripts of Janvier's writings include draft and fair copy of his novel, In the Sargasso Sea, published in 1898 and manuscript of the Aztec Treasure-House (1890), a story for children.
