Biographical / Historical
George Barbier (1882-1932) was a French painter and illustrator; Lotte Reiniger (1899-1981) was a German film director and pioneer of silhouette animation; Nicolai Remisoff (1884-1975) was a Russian theatrical designer and painter; Serge Soudeikine (1882- 1946) was a Russian set designer; Julie Schwolon was an artist who designed for the Dancer Center at Harvard Summer School.
