The Harvard Film Archive Promotional Materials Collection consists of pressbooks, one-sheet promotional documents, film stills, posters, lobby cards, slides, and electronic materials promoting 603 different films produced between 1915 and 2007. The promotional materials date from approximately 1925 to 2007; while some materials are designed to promote the initial releases of the films in question, others were created for the promotion of theatrical re-releases, which makes them difficult to date accurately. The promotional materials are in English and are targeted for the use of theaters in the United States, although a large number of international films are represented.
