Scope of the Indians file
The V. Indians file has been arranged by subgroups of differing Indian organizations or bands. Grassy Narrows and White Dog are both reserves located near the Ball Lake area. Barney employed men, women and children from both of these bands. As a whole both bands are considered members of Grand Council Treaty #3. Grand Council Treaty #9 is also lightly represented. The National Indian Brotherhood is an organization that works to maintain the rights of Indian nations in all of Canada. Within those subgroups include things like correspondence; reports; minutes of meeting; clippings about the Indians and the effect on mercury on their population. One subgroup consists of supporting documentation for the Japanese involvement with the Canadian Indian bands.
