Scope and Contents:
Memorandum from C. Isabel Denison to Mildred Bliss about a telephone call from Madame Poplawska-Leineweber, wife of a professor at American University asking if she can offer two squirrels she has in her yard to Dumbarton Oaks to prevent them being killed by dogs or cats. A follow-up handwritten note to memorandum indicates Madame Poplawska-Leineweber did not realize how many squirrels were already at Dumbarton Oaks when she made the request.
