Scope and Contents

Copy of typescript letter from Anne Sweeney, Garden Guide to Mrs. Harold I. Pratt of the Garden Club of America encloses an informational notice about the grounds of Dumbarton Oaks opening to the public. The notice was sent to T.H.B. McKnight asking if it can be published in the Garden Club of America's forthcoming Bulletin. McKnight suggested that the notice be put in Pratt's file for the Spring issue of the Bulletin for the benefit of those Garden Clubs who might be in Washington during the Spring months. Sweeney reports the visiting hours are restricted as the gates are closed while tours are in progress. Garden Club members wanting to visit the gardens can contact the Calling the Garden Guide Service, Michigan 3119 for an appointment. Sweeney closes "We shall be very grateful for any mention you may make of this feature at Dumbarton Oaks gardens."
