Scope and Contents
Contains photographs, photo albums, and 16mm motion picture films. The photographs and films were produced during the fieldwork campaigns at Hagia Sophia, Kariye Camii, and other sites in Istanbul, Cyprus, Macedonia and Syria, from the 1930s to 1980s. They document the fieldworkers’ conservation and restoration techniques and highlight various examples of Byzantine art and architecture.
