She will respond to Beatrix Farrand's sour letter the middle of next week. She must leave California by October third at the latest as the month is crowded with legal matters and the Laughlin - Chanler wedding. Mildred Bliss is referring to the wedding of Miss Gertrude Laughlin and Lieutenant Hubert Winthrop Chanler [on October 23].
