Scope and Contents

Handsigned typescript letter from Beatrix Farrand on personal letterhead acknowledging a letter from Anne Sweeney that reports she has been working on the Dumbarton Oaks Garden, Catalogue House material. Beatrix Farrand mentions that a trip to Casa Dorinda seems deserted without Anne Sweeney [who was employed at Casa Dorinda by Mildred Bliss' mother, Anna Dorinda Blakesly Barnes before her death]. She says [Philip] Lucking, [employee at Casa Dorinda] seems well and spoke of Anne Sweeney with affection. Beatrix Farrand expresses her sympathy for the death of Anne Sweeney's aunt.
