Scope and Contents

Handsigned typescript letter from Beatrix Farrand, on professional letterhead, location crossed through and new location typed on letter. Beatrix Farrand informs Anne Sweeney that the copy of Bailey's Cyclopedia of Horticulture can be returned if it arrives at Dumbarton Oaks. The reason it was ordered was because Mrs. Ethel Clarke [sic. Clark] did not wish any of her copies removed from the Dumbarton Oaks Library. She suggests Anne Sweeney paste photos to the plant cards and send to her. She mentions that the color illustrated catalogues will help you on your annual display and [James] Bryce can help you learn the names of the catalogues. She will be leaving California in the early days of April and will stop at Dumbarton Oaks for at least two or three days. They can start the display work together. Signature is that of Mary Fulkerson, typist for Beatrix Farrand.
