Processing staff in the Center for the History of Medicine analyzed and described the papers, and created a finding aid to improve access in 2016. The papers were originally cataloged at an unknown date using three separate call numbers: B MS c65.1 (documents created by Timothy Darling); B MS c65.2 (documents addressed to Timothy Darling); and B MS c65.3 (records related to the Timothy Darling estate). The existing folder titles and arrangement were retained, but the extant call numbers were excluded from the finding aid.
