Scope and Contents
Consists of drafts, correspondence, reports, data, notes, reprints, and brochures, including Mary Ellen Avery’s research notes and drafts for her article about elliptocytosis, as well as drafts of a chapter she wrote for a book entitled, A History of Physiology of Breathing. Correspondence consists of reviews of Avery’s textbook Diseases of the Newborn. Brochures, annual reports, and correspondence about the Francis Families Foundation, an organization dedicated to pulmonary research, are also in the series, as are drafts of speeches spanning the course of Avery’s career and reprints of articles written by Avery and her colleagues.
