XI. Staff Related Books and Journals, 1877–1975.

Scope and Contents

Series XI consists of books and journals either written by, or about staff, or collected by staff as memorabilia or for reference, which were not published by the hospital. (For hospital publications see Series VII.) Boxes 85, 86, and 87 contain books salvaged from the Brigham and Women's Hospital Medical Library's special, hospital-related collection when its physical space was closed in July of 2017.

Conditions Governing Access

Access requires advance notice. Access to unpublished administrative records is restricted for 50 years from the date of creation. Patient information is restricted indefinitely. Restricted records, except restricted patient photographs, are noted in the finding aid. Researchers may apply for access to restricted material.
