XI. Photographs and Publication Production Records, 1917–2015.
Scope and Contents
This series consists of materials used in hospital publications or maintained for possible inclusion in upcoming publications. Records include photographs, contact sheets, slides, negatives, illustrations, cartoons, mechanicals, paste-up boards, resource materials, drafts, notes and related correspondence, copy edit materials, sample issues, and documentation for identification purposes, credits, billing, and copyright. Much of the content of the images in the collection is undated and unidentified. Boxes 52-54 photographs, negatives, slides, contact sheets, some correspondence, and publications from the Brigham and Women’s Public Affairs Department. The content spans the years 1973–2005 and its general purpose was to appear in Brigham and Women’s publications such as Outlook, the BWH Bulletin, Inside BWH, and the BWH Magazine. Images include staff, patients, nursing, administration, and buildings (interior and exterior). Unless otherwise indicated, folders contain one or more photographic prints.

Conditions Governing Access
Access requires advance notice. Access to unpublished administrative records is restricted for 50 years from the date of creation. Patient information is restricted indefinitely. Restricted records, except restricted patient photographs, are noted in the finding aid. Researchers may apply for access to restricted material.
