Scope and Contents

Consists of edited and unedited drafts, correspondence, reprints and publications, publication figures, and background research from Augustus White's professional writings. Topics in the series primarily consist of spine biomechanics and other topics in orthopedics. Additional topics include race and culturally competent care, and White's experience as a Captain and combat surgeon in the United States Army Medical Corps during the Vietnam War. Drafts and correspondence related to White's books Your Aching Back and Clinical Biomechanics of the Spine are also included. Electronic records in the series include drafts and publication figures.
