Scope and Contents
Consists of correspondence, meeting record,s and organizational records produced by Joseph E. Murray's involvement with the American College of Surgeons. Series includes records from committees on which Murray served, including the Central Judiciary Committe, of which Murray was chairman, records from the Massachusetts Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, and program planning records. Murray served as Regent (1970-1979) and First Vice-President (1969-1970). Records dealing primarily with travel to American College of Surgeons events are located in Series V.
