Scope and Contents
Contains correspondence written to Brazelton from parents regarding the development of their children. The bulk of the correspondence was delivered through the New York Times Syndication Sales Corporation, however, the series also contains correspondence from readers of Redbook, Family Circle, and other publications that Brazelton wrote for. A small portion of the inquiries was sent directly to Brazelton’s office in Cambridge, Mass., and some letters contain Brazelton’s hand-written drafts of responses. In addition to general questions regarding child development, topics addressed in the correspondence include thumb-sucking, bottle feeding, abortion, bed-wetting, parents serving in the military, and discipline.
