A 300-seat auditorium on the third floor was named for John Ware (HMS 1853), a smaller first floor hall seating 75 was named in honor of Richard Sprague (HMS 1887), and a committee meeting room on the intermediate floor was named for William Cranch Bond Fifield (HMS 1851). In 1905 the periodical reading room was named in memory of James Read Chadwick (HMS 1871), first librarian of the Boston Medical Library and founder of the Harvard Medical Alumni Association. In 1930 the Chadwick Periodical Room was transformed into a reading room and renamed in memory of Morton Prince (HMS 1879).
