Historical Note

After the Longwood Avenue campus opened in 1906, the Boylston Street building became home to Boston University's College of Liberal Arts. In the 1960s, before it was demolished to make way for an addition to the Boston Public Library, a group of alumni and faculty, including Dean C. Sidney Burwell (1919), Walter G. Phippen (1904), Fritz B. Talbot (1905), and Harry Clyde Trimble, toured the building.
