The Southwestern Unitarian Conference was founded as a regional organization designed to connect local Unitarian church communities and related entities to each other and to the American Unitarian Association. Comprised largely of Unitarian churches in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, along with some counties in Tennessee and Missouri., the conference hosts annual meetings and events, runs newsletters, summer camps, and promote church development in and around the Southwest, all while fostering a belief in liberal religion. It's by-laws were adopted November 18, 1939.
