Biographical / Historical
The Grove Hall Universalist Church was organized on March 3, 1878 as an offshoot of the Roxbury Universalist Church. Members met in each other’s homes and Wetherell Hall, before erecting its building in 1895, on the corner of Blue Hill Avenue and Schuyler Street. The building was designed by Francis R. Allen, and is now home to The Holy Tabernacle Church.
