Walter Catlin Pierce (1861-1948) graduated from Meadville Theological Seminary in 1884, and attended Tulane University in 1897. He was ordained to the Unitarian ministry in 1888 at Mendon, Massachusetts. During his career he served parishes in Mendon, West Somerville, Waverly, and Sharon, Massachusetts; as well as Tiverton, Rhode Island; New Orleans, Louisiana; Castine, Maine; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Jacksonville, Florida.
