Daybook of sales of rum, molasses, clove water, sugar, boards, snakeroot, pork, and other commodities by John Heard in 1770-1771, sometimes paid in barter of labor or service, and expenses associated with his still house, such as purchase of molasses from suppliers. Accounts included Heard's father and grandfather, Captain Abraham Dodge, Joseph Appleton, Isaac Appleton, Daniel Low, and Andrew Burley. A few personal expenses appear in the volume: Johanna Rast was paid cash for nursing.
