Speeches, congressional testimonies, and briefing materials of John S. R. Shad, mostly created during his tenure as chairman of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, 1981-1987. The records date from 1972 to 1989.
The collection contains administrative records of the investment banking firm Lehman Brothers and of Kuhn, Loeb & Company, another firm that merged with Lehman in 1977. Also includes the papers of numerous Lehman Brothers and Kuhn, Loeb & Company executives and their families.
The Theodore H. Brown papers consists of a study prepared by Brown on retirement annunities in 1952. It appears that Brown, who was close to retirement, prepared the study for himself and for his fellow professors.
