22.75 linear feet (117 volumes, 1 box)Unusually complete series of cash books, blotters, and ledgers of a firm of wholesale grocers. Most series stop in 1900, but there are directors' minutes and other papers from 1930.
Biographical / Historical
Firm of wholesale grocers, Bangor, Maine. Established in 1860, the successor to several older firms such as J. & J. True and Company, True, Hayward and Company, Hayward and Harris. The business was liquidated in the 1950's.
