The Supervisory Management Course records contain seventeen 16mm training films and accompanying printed material related to courses produced by the AMA. The printed material includes notebooks, test sets, instructions, reading and implementation manuals relating to management, planning, organization, and decision making tactics needed to be a successful manager and leader.
Historical Note:
The American Management Association (AMA) is a non-profit membership organization that provides educational training and management development for individuals, teams, corporate entities and government agencies. The AMA publishes books and white papers, holds online webinars and podcasts, and in person seminars and conferences on a variety of business subject areas including human resources, communication, marketing, leadership, project management and sales, among others. Founded in 1913 as the National Association of Corporation Schools, the organization later merged with the Industrial Relations Association of America. In 1923, the group changed its name to the American Management Association.
