Bills of lading (some pre-1800), 1752-1819 Digital

Scope and Contents

Includes several bills of lading for furs exported to England from New London, Connecticut, and another unspecified port in 1752, and bills of lading for merchandise shipped to merchants Ingraham & Bromfield of Boston, Watson & Cassoul, and others, dated 1782-1783. There is also a 1780 bill for a ship that contained the belongings of Captain Adam Winthrop (1748-1774; Harvard AB 1767), who died at sea, to be delivered to his brother William Winthrop (1753-1825; Harvard AB 1770) in Boston.
