Scope and Contents
Accounts current of the iron works, showing operational expenses and payments, dated 1651-1652. Includes accounts of laborers and suppliers, bogg mine and rock mine accounts, court expenses in Salem, and food for Scottish indentured workers. A number of entries relate to carting and wharfage of boards, and purchasing and sawing wood: Lynn carpenter John Tarbox (died 1674) earned wages for 94 days of work, and two Native American men, Anthonie and Thomas, were paid for providing or cutting 39 cords of wood.
