Scope and Contents
Contains invoices of merchandise shipped and consigned to Andrew Faneuil and Peter Faneuil, and goods they imported at their own risk, dated 1725-1737. Cargo included fabrics, gunpowder, sugar, iron, rum, molasses and hats imported from London, Europe, and the West Indies, as well as coastwise shipments of items like flour, wheat, peas, and beeswax. Accounts were maintained with merchants including William Colman, John Lloyd, Silas Hooper, and Lane & Smelhurst of London, and Jean Jacques Hubert of Marseille, France.
