Subseries E. District of Columbia Financial Responsibility and Management Assistance Authority, 1995-2003

Scope and Contents

This District of Columbia Financial Responsibility and Management Assistance Authority subseries contains material collected by Brimmer while he served as chairman from 1995 to 1998. The Control Board was a five-member body established to oversee the budget of the District of Columbia that had been in a financial crisis since the early 1990s. Included in this subseries are public meeting minutes, municipal regulations, budget reviews, board minutes, and reports on the state of the financial situation in the District of Columbia. Computer files extracted from floppy disks includes transcripts of public meetings. This content is the same as the paper version of the public meetings represented in the collection.
