IA. Corporate governance and leadership records, 1937-1995

Scope and Contents

The Polaroid Corporation governance and leadership records document the high-level direction and oversight of the company, circa 1953-1995. Subseries IA-1 contains Polaroid's corporate management records, including board of directors' records, stockholder and annual meeting records, annual reports, and the records of the Operating Policy Committee, 1953-1990. Subseries IA-2 contains Polaroid Organization Announcements, a corporate publication that Polaroid used to publicize executive-level personnel changes and other management adjustments, 1958-1995. Subseries IA-3 contains biographical and informational files about Polaroid executives, created for public relations purposes, circa 1957-1995. Subseries IA-4 contains the records of William R. Page, Director of Corporate Planning. The Corporate Long Range Planning Office was created in 1965 as part of the General Manager's Office under the direction of William J. McCune to coordinate with the corporate divisions on long range planning.
